Creamy Whipped Feta with Sweet and Spicy Tomato Chutney
Watch the entire episode of What’s for Dinner here.
Indulge in a culinary delight with our creamy whipped feta made using feta from the renowned Holmestead Cheese company in Aylesford, Nova Scotia. This silky and rich feta is the star of our dish, elevating your dining experience to new heights.
To complement this luscious cheese, we’ve created a homemade sweet and spicy tomato chutney that’s bursting with flavors. This chutney is a harmonious blend of diced grape tomatoes, yellow onions, and jalapeño pepper sautéed to perfection in a touch of butter. It’s then balanced with the tang of red wine vinegar, the kick of Dijon mustard, and the sweetness of brown sugar and maple syrup.
The whipped feta provides a creamy, slightly tangy base that perfectly contrasts with the bold and vibrant flavors of the chutney. The cheese’s luxurious texture pairs wonderfully with the jam-like consistency of the chutney. It’s a match made in gastronomic heaven.
To complete the experience, we suggest serving this delightful concoction with warm, grilled naan. The slightly charred naan adds a delightful textural element, and its neutral flavor allows the whipped feta and chutney to shine.
This dish is more than just an appetizer; it’s an experience for your taste buds. Whether you’re hosting a gathering or simply indulging in a culinary treat for yourself, our whipped feta with sweet and spicy tomato chutney is a delectable choice that marries the best of Nova Scotia’s local cheese with inventive flavors.
