Turkey and Spinach Dip with Cucumber Apple Salad and Naan Wedges
This recipe was created by “Team Turkey” in our first ever Turkey cook off with member’s of the marketing team from Turkey Farmers Of Canada meetings held at the Marriott Hotel on June 21/2006 and was the winner of the popular vote! They did an awesome job considering that they had 1 induction burner and 1 pan to work with!
Melt butter and olive oil in a frying pan. Add chopped shallots and garlic to the pan. Add maple syrup and caramelize. Add diced turkey meat and brown with summer savoury, salt and pepper. Add spinach and heat until wilted. Add cheddar cheese. Keep heating until the cheese melts. Put in a serving bowl.
Brown naan on the fry pan with a tsp of butter and olive oil. Cut in triangles and serve.
