Smashed Broccoli

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head of broccoli, stems removed
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • chili flakes
  • parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400
  2. Cut the broccoli into large sized florets.
  3. Bring a pot of water to a boil, add the broccoli and cook, uncovered, until fork tender, remove from the heat and drain.
  4. Ensure that the broccoli id dried, place the florets on a parchment lined baking sheet, use a glass to “smash” the broccoli.
  5. Drizzle the florets with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, pepper and chili flakes. Finish with a generous sprinkling of parmesan cheese.
  6. Place the pan into the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
