Cheddar & Chive Biscuits
- 4 cups flour
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar
- 2 tbsp chopped chives
- 1 cup frozen butter, grated
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
Sausage Patties
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp chopped chives
- 2 tbsp chopped green onions
- 1 tsp ground fennel seeds
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
Scrambled Eggs
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup 35% cream
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp jam of your choice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450F, Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the ground pork in a bowl, add the remaining ingredients.
- Form into 8 thin patties, fry until cooked through and set aside.
- Place the flour, baking soda, and salt into a bowl.
- Add in the grated butter, cheddar cheese and chives, use a fork and mix to combine.
- Add the buttermilk a bit at a time until a soft dough is formed.
- Turn dough out onto a floured surface and roll dough to a 1/2″ thickness.
- Cut out 16 four inch rounds.
- Place 8 rounds onto the baking sheet.
- Combine the eggs, cream, salt and pepper and scramble the eggs.
- To assemble place 1 tsp of jam on the eight rounds, top with a sausage patty and scrambles eggs.
- Stretch the remaining rounds over the filling and use a fork to pinch the edges.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
