Maple Salt and Pepper Beef

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 16 ounces beef thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Badass Burger Booster ( substitute Montreal Steak Spice)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 yellow pepper, julienne
  • 1/2 red pepper, julienne
  • 1 medium yellow onion, julienne
  • 25 turns of the pepper mill
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil

 


Instructions

  1. Heat the butter of high heat, season the beef with the Badass Burger Booster and salt and sauté until the meat begins to brown.
  2. Add the peppers and onion and continue to sauté until the vegetables begin to soften.
  3. Add the fresh cracked pepper, the maple and the broth, bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer.
  4. Combine the flour and olive oil and stir to form a smooth paste, stir into the hot beef mixture and cook, stirring, until thickened.
  5. Serve over rice.
