Ingredients

  • 1 pound bacon in lardon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Cut bacon in ½ inch cubes then sauté them in a frying pan on high heat until they start to brown on all sides, once the bacon is cooked place on paper towel to absorb the grease.
  2. Wipe pan dry, return bacon back to the pan, when they begin to sizzle add the maple syrup and bring to a boil, lower to a simmer and reduce until each piece is candied.
  3. Cool on parchment paper.
  4. Use as a garnish for the soup, salad, etc…
