Chicken Thighs & Legs
- 4 chicken thighs skin on
- 4 chicken legs skin on
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp salt and pepper
- Place the chicken in a medium sized bowl, drizzle the chicken with olive oil and toss until well coated.
- Incorporate the salt and pepper and let sit for 20 minutes.
- Prepare the BBQ sauce, recipe below.
- Place the chicken on the BBQ and grill on high, basting with the Asian style Crosby’s Double Molasses BBQ Sauce.
- Keep rotating on each side, grill until the internal temperature reached 165°F
Asian Style Double Crosby’s Molasses BBQ Sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
- 2 cloves of garlic grated
- 1/4 cup Crosby’s Fancy Molasses
- 1/4 cup Crosby’s Blackstrap Molasses
- 1/4 cup black vinegar (Chinkiang vinegar)
- 1/2 cup Hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup soya sauce
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 cup water
- Sauté the onion, ginger and garlic in oil until soft.
- Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil and simmer for 10-20 minutes. (Sauce will thicken as it cools.)
Grilled Vegetables
Grill the vegetables of your choice on a grill mesh brushing with the same BBQ sauce as the chicken. Remove when they start to char. Approx. 10-12 minutes.
