Savory Waffles with Eggs, Ham and Cheese

Savory Cheese Waffles

Makes 4 waffles

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup shredded cheddar

Additional Ingredients

  • 8 oz shaved Chris Bothers Black Forest Ham
  • 8 asparagus spears, blanched
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 4 fried eggs
  • 4 tbsp Honey mustard
  • Salt pepper to taste

 

 

 

 

 


Instructions

  1. Place the flour, salt, baking soda and sugar in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl beat the eggs and add the milk and butter.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and beat until the batter is smooth.
  4. Mix in the Cheddar cheese.
  5. Spray a waffle iron and add the batter, cook until crispy.
  6. Once you have your waffles made spread the honey mustard followed with ham, tomatoes, asparagus topped with fried egg, and pepper.
