Jalapeno Poppers

This is the prefect dish to add to your game day spread. These poppers are definitely a hand over fist kind of app so you may want to double the recipe! If heat isn’t your thing you can substitute sweet mini peppers for the jalapenos.

Ingredients

  • 16 slices bacon
  • 8 jalapenos
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 green onion chopped
  • 2 tsp Bad A** Burger Booster ( substitute with steak spice)
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp panko
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 4oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup Asiago cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Place the bacon on a parchment lined baking sheet and cook for 15 minutes.
  3. Slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  4. Heat the olive oil over medium high heat.
  5. Add the ground pork and cook, breaking up with a spoon, once all the pork has crumbles add the red and green onions, Bad A** Burger Booster and parsley, cook until the begin to soften.
  6. Stir in the cream Cheese, allow to melt.
  7. Add the grated cheddar, allow to melt.
  8. Stir in the 1/4 cup panko and remove from the heat.
  9. Place the jalapenos on a parchment line baking sheet and fill with the pork mixture.
  10. Scatter the asiago cheese and 2 tbsp of panko over top.
  11. Wrap each popper with a slice of bacon securing with a toothpick if needed.
  12. Bake (400F) for 20 minutes
