- 5 large eggs
- 1 can ADL evaporated milk
- 1 can ADL sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup sugar, divided
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions
- Place 1 cup sugar and water in a saute pan over medium high heat for approximately 10 minutes, until the caramel turns a rich caramel color.
- Carefully pour the caramel into a flan pan, being sure to coat everything and set aside.
- Add the eggs, ADL evaporated milk, ADL sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, remaining ½ cup sugar to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Fill the base of the bottom half on the flan pan with water, pour the egg mixture over the caramel and set the pan on the base.
- Cook over medium low heat for 45 minutes. To test the flan insert a knife, if the knife comes out clean the flan is ready.
