Hearty Pork Chilli

Great chilli is a staple for the cold winter months!  Well-seasoned meat, creamy beans and tender vegetables are essential but making the switch to pork is the real game changer.  This recipe was inspired by my niece, Denise, and once you try it I think you’ll agree!

Hearty Pork Chilli

Description

Hearty and flavorful pork chilli will be your new favorite winter comfort food!


Ingredients

Units Scale

2 lb ground pork
3 Bell peppers, diced
1 large onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 container white mushrooms, sliced
2 28 oz cans diced tomatoes
1 can of tomato sauce
1 cup of beef broth
1 tsp of turmeric
1 tbsp chilli powder
1 envelope Clubhouse chilli seasoning
4 small cans chilli Style kidney beans


Instructions

  1. Add the ground pork to a large pot with enough oil as needed. Scramble fry until no longer pink.
  2. Stir in onions, garlic, peppers, and mushrooms, stir until soft.
  3. Add can tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, spices, and kidney beans. Stir to combine and bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and allowed to cook for one and a half to two hours

Serve with a dollop of sour cream
