Grilled Lobster Tails with lemon Butter Sauce

Can you believe that this recipe marks our 500th show but we’ve shared many, many more recipes as many days had multiple recipes that made up that day’s meal. Lobster tails are the perfect celebration food, rich and decedent and very easy to prepare! Oh, and we can’t forget the lemon butter sauce, it’s perfect with all kinds of seafood dishes like haddock, halibut or scallops! Grilled Lobster Tail with Lemon Butter

Grilled Lobster Tails with Lemon Butter Sauce

Lemon Butter Sauce

  • 2 generous tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • pinch of salt and pepper
  • zest of 1/2 lemon
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • pan drippings from grilled lobsters

 


Instructions

  1. Heat oven to broil.
  2. Cut a v-notch on the top of the lobster tail then insert your finger underneath the meat to lift the tail in the v.
  3. Drizzle 2 tbsp of the olive oil on top of the tails, add salt and pepper and the lemon juice.
  4. Add the remaining tbsp of olive oil to a medium sized sauté pan, heat until the oil shimmers then sauté the tails on all four sides.
  5. Place a rack on a baking sheet , add the tails and broil for 10 to 12 minutes.
  6. Add the butter to the pan that was used to sauté the lobster tails.
  7. Add the parsley, the salt and pepper, the zest and juice and warm through on low stirring to emulsify.
  8. Remove the tails from the oven, add the the pan drippings to the lemon butter sauce, stir to combine.
  9. Serve the tails drizzled with the sauce.
