Cheeseburger Poutine

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, julienned
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp Badass Burger Booster or steak spice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 lb french fries ( cooked the way you prefer)
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese , shredded
  • 8 slices cooked bacon
  • 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles
  • 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard

Instructions

  1. Place the ground beef in a frying pan, fry for 3-4 minutes then add the onions, continue to cook until no pink remains.
  2. Add the salt, pepper and burger booster, cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the broth, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar and bring to a boil.
  4. Combine the flour and water to create a slurry, add to the beef and stir to dissolve, reduce to a fast simmer and cook until it begins to thicken.
  5. To serve add the cooked fries to a plate, top with 1/4 of the cheese, top with the meat mixture,  top with 1/4 of the bacon, dill pickles, lettuce, and  tomatoes.
  6. Finish with the mustard and ketchup if desired.
