- 1 lb smoked bacon, diced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3–4 onions, julienned
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup brewed black coffee
Instructions
- Saute the bacon until cooked but not crispy.
- Add the butter to the pan and add in the onions, saute the onions over medium high heat until they soften and begin to turn golden.
- Add the brown sugar and mix until the sugar dissolves.
- Pour in the coffee, bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cook until the mixture has a jam like consistency.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
